Is stainless steel a good heat conductive material?

Most types of stainless steel do not transfer heat well and are therefore prone to hotspots and stickiness. Only Topnotch™ Hotplates are made from a unique, special Heat transferring ferritic stainless steel.

Why choose Topnotch™ over cast iron?

Topnotch™ Plates are rust resistant and easy to clean, it is also a smoother non-porous surface which will not trap food particles and food smells. The cooking surface is also far more hygienic than its counter part and the results achieved are simply outstanding.

How long can I expect my Topnotch™ Plate to last?

Provided you follow the instructions, it will last a life time.

Will it fit my barbeque?

Most certainly. The Topnotch™ range comes in 17 different sizes to suit every brand and model. In fact you can choose from over 150 different combinations. So you'll be sure to find the one best suited to your cooking style.

Is it energy efficient?

Yes! You can expect to reduce gas consumption by up to 30%.

Will I need to cure my Topnotch™ Plate before use?

No. Stainless steel is non-porous and therefore no curing is required.

How to care for your Topnotch™ Exlan® non-stick barbeque plate.

Never use scotch brite pads or steel wool to clean this plate, as this will permanently damage the non-stick cooking surface. Should this occur, a re-coating service is available at the customers cost.

1. Only use non-scratch wooden or plastic utensils.

2. Simply wipe the Exlan® Plate clean with a paper towel.

3. If desired, wash with detergent and a soft sponge.
